American Goulash - Part 4: Still in Dah Kitchen

Nagymama reads through some of the fan letters that were sent to her during her simultaneous YouTube & MySpace Feature! Note: I printed them all out with really big text so she would have an easier time reading them.

Thank you, again, everyone, for giving my grandma her 15-minutes of fame after being alive for almost a century! (She will be 97 in April! Doesn't she look AWESOME?!)

Special thank you to Cameraman Matt, for his assistance with capturing our family events on film.

Songs used: Brahm's Hungarian Dance No. 1, performed by Leo Christopherson.

Before you click "play", here are the original videos (in chronological order) in case you're a new reader that has missed some Nagymama action:

Nagymama
The Real Nagymama

Velcome to Piscataway
Velcome Back to Piscataway
Velcome to the Kitchen

If you are having any trouble seeing any videos, you can probably view the slightly pixely-er YouTube versions.

Your Nagymama is sooo cute! She's almost like my Nagymama. By the way, the camera is called "kamera" in Hungarian, and not "fenykep". "Fenykep" is photo. But if you were saying it because of Nagymama, it's alright. And greetings to Nagymama!

That’s so weird, Edit!
I remember we would always misplace the old Polaroid camera, and I don’t think I have ever heard Anu or Nagymama say, “Hol van a fenykep?” I figured “kep” meant “picture” so “fenykep” must have meant “picture camera”. (even at the end of “Nagymama,” I put on silly subtitles for fun, but at the end, she must actually says, “What kind of machine is this? A photo?” Hmmm. Interesting! See, this is why I should never go to Hungary – I probably won’t know what anyone is saying to me! I have only communicated with my family in Hungarian all this time, and I know what they are saying, but the rest of the world probably has quite a different spin ;)

I think you speak very well...just there are some things that I think you translate from English and it sounds a little bit wierd. Like you were saying:"Nem birok most beszelni"...it's sounds weird, because we usually say:"nem tudok beszelni". But it's alright, cause it's totally undertandable. By the way...I think apple juice and orange juice mixed together tastes very good. Yummy!!! :)
