The Cover of Darkness
The shame officially began today: I created the cover for my mother’s “Sexy Men” Calendar.

When I was spending tens of thousands of dollars on art school, I never expected that I would be photoshopping chest hair onto plastic cake topper dolls at 4 a.m. for my mother’s amusement. My 2-D Design teacher would be ashamed…or possibly turned on. I’m not sure if he likes burly men.

What was his name? I feel terrible admitting I can’t remember it… especially since he was the first person to officially tell me about the towers on September 11th.
It was Leo Robinson…
She figured it was like the Empire State Building incident (where a small prop plane hit the side of it). Thank goodness we were leaching cable from the next door neighbor that month so I could watch the news or else I would have been really confused.
Connie was the first one to tell me about 9/11. Of all things, she got a fax about it. She didn’t want to cancel class because I heard she had to take a leave of absence for health reasons, I hope she’s okay
